Crazy Craft Convention.....

I say convention but what I really mean is the Glasgow SECC hobbycrafts crafty fair and creative stitches, but it’s a bit long winded and I happen to like alliteration.

Today was the last day so it was, by standards, a little quieter than usual.....

I find the craft fair and getting elbowed by ladies reaching for a bargain price peel of sticker a little claustrophobic but I think that the ‘people watching’ aspect of these things is part of the fun ....I find myself thinking ‘is she really going to put that pink decoupage sparrow onto that lime green crocodile paper’, or some such combination, or ‘what could anyone possibly do with 300 peel off stickers that say Whizz Kid’.

Despite my cynicisms I will no doubt be there year after year money in hand, because I’d hate to think I was missing out on something...

HELVETICA

Helvetica Rocks! that is the name of the bebo group that me and some other graphics geeks created the other day in a random moment at college.(so far it has 92 members)and right now i totally believe that helvetica does Rock, ive always been a fan of the simple and clear , white space and bold image, i think that is what helvetica is.

Dont get me wrong i wont discriminate other typefaces for the sake of helvetica i will always choose my fonts when they suit and not just because its my favourite, but as luck would have it weve been given a project restricted to helvetica only.......lucky us!

First new post and Recycle Theme Bag

This is the new home of my blogg, i had a feeble excuse for a blogg awhile ago over on bloggspot,but it didn't last.

Now that i have my own llittle domain in which to roam around i am more contented to blog.

Inspired by the 'Recycle Remake Redesign Re-Craft Reuse Recreate Reclaim Reduce' Flickr Group i decided to resurect an old sketch i did for an art project ,to make this cotton shopper.

I have decided that this bag shall be the substitute to any plastic bag proffered to me in the comming months.

This one is for personal use but if people like it then they might become a nice little addition to my etsy shop.
